About Our Meteorology Lead
TWAC1 has completed formal meteorology studies at Arizona State University and currently holds Skywarn Storm Spotter certification through the National Weather Service office in Morristown (2025). TWAC1 is also an Associate Member of the American Meteorological Society (AMS), demonstrating a strong commitment to science-based forecasting and continued education. While we are not certified meteorologists, this foundation enhances our ability to interpret data and communicate potential hazards clearly and effectively to our community. We are not affiliated with the National Weather Service or any media organizations.
We strive for accuracy and timeliness, but due to inherent uncertainties, we cannot guarantee continuous updates during emergencies or severe weather events.

Who We Are
Michael Gibson
(Founder/Forecaster)
As a recent graduate in Graphic Information Technology at Arizona State University, I have cultivated a deep interest in meteorology through dedicated coursework, sparking a passion for understanding weather patterns and their impact on our environment. This academic journey has shaped my ambition to blend the realms of technology and meteorology, creating an intersection where accurate, real-time weather forecasts can be developed and disseminated effectively.
In addition to my academic background, I am a certified Skywarn Storm Spotter through the National Weather Service in Morristown (2025) and an Associate Member of the American Meteorological Society (AMS). I also hold a current FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate, allowing me to safely operate drones for aerial weather documentation and environmental analysis—further enhancing our ability to cover weather events in real time.
I'm enthusiastic about leveraging this knowledge to serve the Tri-Cities region, aiming to provide comprehensive weather updates and timely news reports. This venture, for me, is not just about providing information; it's about contributing to a community's safety and awareness, and helping people navigate their day with confidence, whatever the weather may bring.
