Ready for a temperature roller coaster and some possible mountain snow flurries? You will need the jackets this weekend. The cold front will move through tomorrow bringing showers and storms with much cooler air.
Here\’s a breakdown on the temperatures for the Tri-Cities:
Saturday morning: Temperatures in the low to mid 40\’s in the Tri-Cities. Some mountains may be in the 30\’s. Wind chills will make it feel cooler.
Saturday afternoon: High temperatures in the low to mid 50\’s. Cooler valleys may only be in the 40\’s. Wind chills in the 40\’s at times. Mountains will only be in the 40\’s. Highest elevations may be stuck in the 30\’s with wind chills making it feel even cooler.
Sunday morning: Temperatures will be in the low to mid 30\’s in the Tri-Cities. Some mountains may even be in the 20\’s. Frost / freeze possible.
Mountain snow flurries will be possible Saturday. There wont be a lot of moisture to work with, but if temperatures get cold enough, a few flurries could fly in the highest elevations. If you don\’t believe us, then checkout the GFS model showing a few snow flurries (would only be in the highest terrain, model doesn\’t have enough resolution to distinguish between lower terrain and higher terrain).
